6 Write the names of your family in cursive.	7 Walk 100 steps. Draw a map of where you walked.	8 Write a poem that rhymes.	9 Draw 10 coins that together equal one dollar.	10 Read a book.	11 Tell someone about a book you just read.	12 List 5 nice things you did this week.
13 Draw a picture of our American flag.	14 Say the Pledge of Allegiance.	15 Write a joke.	16 Practice rhyming 5 of the starred word wall words.	17 Write the days of the week in cursive.	18 Read a book about animals.	19 Draw a picture of your favorite ice cream dessert.
20 Add the numerals in your phone number.	21 Count the coins in Mom’s purse.	22 Plant a flower. Don’t forget to weed and water it throughout the summer.	23 Be a gardener! Pull out 23 weeds.	24 Draw a picture of a plant and label its parts.	25 Do 10 jumping jacks and hop 20 times on each foot.	26 List 5 ways you were helpful to others this week.
27 Read the nutrition label on a cereal box.	28 Write a poem that doesn’t rhyme.	29 Use 5 of your word wall words in sentences.	30 Read a book.

11 Read a newspaper or magazine article.	12 Count the even and odd numbered days in July.	13 Run for 5 or 10 minutes.	14 List 5 of the word wall words with silent letters.	15 Make the grocery list for your parents.	16 Practice the subtraction facts through 18.	17 Draw a picture of a new pet you’d like to have.
18 Count the number of toes in your family.	19 List 5 swimming safety rules.	20 Find and list 10 word wall words that are nouns. Remember a noun names a person, place, thing, or animal.	21 Watch and study an insect, then draw a picture of it.	22 Find and list 5 word wall words that are adjectives. Remember an adjective is a describing word.	23 Read a book.	24 Write a riddle.
25 Draw the different leaves in your backyard.	26 Practice 10 of the word wall words in cursive.	27 Practice the addition and subtraction facts.	28 Make and give your parent an award.	29 Count the different pairs of shoes in your house.	30 Find and list 5 word wall words that are verbs. Remember verbs are action words.	31 Write a letter to your new teacher. Tell about your summer.
